We are so happy Linebacker Jerry Attaochu, who was drafted by the Chargers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft will host again. He has already helped make an impact this season with the Chargers Defense on the field and is excited to make a difference in the San Diego community as well. He is a visitor at Rady Children's Hospital and has a special place in his heart for children battling diseases.

The Pro Player Foundation addresses the needs of underserved youth by raising funds and awareness through special events and programs. Pro Player Foundation, in partnership with Rady Children's Hospital and the Muscle Disease Clinic, seeks to raise awareness about muscular dystrophy through JBowl. The hospital’s mission is to restore, sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy.  The Muscle Disease Clinic at Rady Children's Hospital does an amazing job for children battling neuromuscular diseases and we want to shine a light on their efforts.

William, the eldest son of Chargers' Ring of Honor Member Darren Bennett, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in 2003. Duchenne MD is characterized by progressive muscle weakness that results in loss of muscle function. Pro Player Foundation created Will's Special Team to raise money and awareness to help put an end to this terrible disease.

Each year, JBowl hosts families from Rady Children's Hospital so they can get away for an evening and share a special night with the Chargers. Past JBowl Rady Children's Hospital supporters include NFL Punters Mat McBriar, Ben Graham, Sav Rocca of the Washington Redskins, Cullen Loeffler of the Minnesota Vikings and Mike Scifres of the San Diego Chargers. Players that have attended to support the Will's Special Team include Kendall Reyes, Melvin Ingram, David Binn, Hank Bauer, Antonio Garay, Corey Liuget, Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Nick Novak, Nate Kaeding, Jamal Williams, Takeo Spikes, Darrell Stuckey, Vincent Brown and Atari Bigby just to name a few. The Chargers have been instrumental in making this an unforgettable night for the families and children. It is important for them to know they are not alone as they face unimaginable disease. It is our goal to provide a bit of joy and distraction especially during the holiday season.

2014 corporate sponsors of the event bowled with some of their favorite current and former NFL players and mugged for photos. Guests have been treated to culinary creations from Asti Ristorante, DLush Beverages, Felix's BBQ, Krispy Kremes, House of Blues, Notorious Burgers, OneHope Wine, Rama, Saltbox, Sushi on a Roll, Suja Juice and Frito Lay products.  Special thanks to the San Diego Chargers, My Pillow Pets, Centerpoint Securities, Davlyn Investments, Dr. Jacqueline Dupont Carlson and Vista Gardens, Frito Lay, Marriott San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, Live Nation, Walmart, 1011i.com, ResorTime, McBriar Family,  Loeffler Family, Moyer Family, iHeartRadio, Johnny Humble and  Kearny Mesa Bowl.
