Pro Player Foundation hosted A Pro Play MS Day Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The afternoon included a #rEECh Collaborative Panel at 1:30 p.m. CST where PPF Ambassador and Author, Tyler Campbell, MS Caregiver, Gonzalo Cantu, MS neurology specialists, Dr. Leorah Freeman and Dr. Tania Reyna, and Patient Advocate, Shavon Williams-Wade highlighted important information about Multiple Sclerosis while sharing their experiences with the disease. Guests were able to dust off their favorite boots and enjoy an evening at our exclusive BBQ & Boots event that highlighted Texas BBQ at 6:30 p.m. CST. Pro Football Hall of Fame members Earl Campbell, Joe Greene, Charles Haley and John Randle, along with NFL Stars Darren Bennett, Lach Edwards, and Ed “Too Tall” Jones, and University of Texas Head Football Coach Steve Sarkisian, Texas Legend Fozzy Whittaker were in attendance to lend their support for the Pro Player Foundation goal of changing the world for everyone affected by MS.

A Pro Play MS Day concluded with an exclusive in-person BBQ & Boots event in the Zilker Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Austin with doors opened at 6:30 p.m. CST. Guests at this year's BBQ & Boots were able to indulge in culinary bites from restaurants across Austin including Amy's Ice Creams, Austin Gourmet Popcorn, Bravo BBQ, Chef Gil & Co., Flemings, Hoovers, Hyatt Regency, The Kebab Shop, Snake Farm BBQ, Sinsational Cakes, The Salt Lick BBQ, 3 Small Plates catering, The University of Texas Club, Whitfields and Yummi Joy. Entertainment at the event was performed by renowned Austin group The Derailers. Renowned Neurologist and Director of Neuroimmunology & Multiple Sclerosis Research Dr. Annette Okai shared vital information on how MS impacts patients in underrepresented communities and National MS Society South Central Board of Trustees member, Lisa Sailor motivated the crowd with her own personal story of living with MS. The live and silent auctions provided opportunities for guests to bid on restaurant packages, memorabilia from NFL and NBA Hall of Famers, trips to beautiful Lake Tahoe, Orlando and more.
